Air Knife was used with a .004" stainless steel shim gap to clean a conveyor at a metal processing facility to remove small scrap buildup. Previously scrapers and brushes were used but created costly maintenance problems. The downtime was decreased and the application was essentially maintenance free. Noise was not a major factor so the heavy-duty designed air knife was adequate for the application. The unit was easy to mount because of mounting holes on the air knife unlike competitive models that may require dismantling and reassembly.
